About

“The quietest paths lead to the deepest truths. To find the answers, we must first look inwards”.

Oyut is a Canadian-Mongolian visual artist based in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

Born and raised in Mongolia during the country's profound transition from the Soviet era to democracy, her upbringing between ancient nomadic traditions and a rapidly shifting modern world deeply shaped her creative lens. Her artistic practice draws heavily from this duality, fusing the rich tapestry of her Mongolian heritage with contemporary Western expression.

Before committing to her destiny at the canvas, Oyut spent years navigating the structured, high-paced corporate landscape - a background anchored by her credentials as a Stanford Certified Project Manager. While her professional path was defined by logic and strategy, a vibrant creative spark carried from childhood quietly awaited its ignition.

A transformative inner journey ultimately pulled her away from the corporate world and back to her roots. Seeking to master the physical mechanics of her craft, she expanded her practice through the Visual Arts (Painting) program at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. This training allowed her to seamlessly bridge her digital origins with the raw, tactile energy of physical canvas layering.

Oyut’s work serves as a visual diary of emotional transformation, heavily inspired by the subconscious mind, dreams, and close observations of human nature. Her signature palette of vibrant turquoise and reflective Liquid Gold leaf serves as a direct mirror to her name, her identity, and the philosophy of kintsugi—the ancient art of honoring structural cracks with gold to find beauty in resilience.

Through her evolving collections, Oyut invites viewers to step away from external noise, embrace their own softness and strength, and finally learn to wear their personal stories like a crown.
